Rock and Roll Jesus

Last one I promise.

This was actually the second project from my class. I really had a hard time deciding weather or not to post this one. I am really proud of it and its the only one I'm really worried about getting stolen.

But I'm so proud of it that I cant just let it rot away in my hard drive.


So our problem was to take a front and back/side view of something and create something else out of it. I chose my dads 77 Les Paul Custom. I wasn't sure what I'd do with, though. The day before, my dad had let me borrow his new Kid Rock CD and I'd put it on my iPod for class. As I sit listening to it, this idea came to mind.

So I did a search of crosses online and found a really cool lookin Celtic cross. It originally had the traditional circle halo around the cross but I ended up not liking how that looked (no matter how much my teach liked it) so I did this halo instead. I think the sunburst-ish look looks better.


This made it into our schools Digital art show but not the student show. I think the judge for the student show was anti-Christian since a few anti-Christian pieces got in.
