A TV show with a lot of hype premiered. A show aimed at little girls that had a very very bad reputation. A show about candy colored horses that spouted drivel about bull shit like Freindship and Harmony and Love.



The show itself was not perfect. I don't think there is a single person who doesn't have SOMETHING negative to say about about the premiere episodes of Friendship is Magic. But it was something new from a brand that seemed to start out in a typical 80's kids show tune and devolved into *shudder* Newborn Cuties...



My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is a very good, and often great, cartoon. But so are other shows, what made this one so great?

Us. The fans. This community that was spawned by the show. Unlike the Anime fan community this is ONE show. ONE show that we all like. We may all have differing opinions on individual episodes but we can all say "the show is good" because, if we cant, we are not fans.

I've met a lot of wonderful people in this community and that is what I thank this show for most. Thank you FiM for bringing together so many wonderful and eclectic people. Thank you for inspiring so many wonderful artists be they 2D, 3D, craft based, musicians, directors, voice actors, writers, analysts, ect ect.

Just, thank you MLP. Thanks for bringing us together. Thank you, you candy colored freaky proportioned creatures. Keep doing what you've been doing for the last 4 years!
